|  Alice Marie Jones, 85 years old, of Point Pleasant, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at home. She was the widow of Abel Jones (Bill) who died in 1994. They had been married for forty-nine years. Born in Bayonne, NY, daughter of Michael Hudak and Mary Hudanish Hudak and educated at Roselle Park High School, she then worked at Western Electric where she met Bill. They moved to Point Pleasant in 1945 for the love of the seashore. She was active in parent school groups, especially with the High School Band. She loved being everyone's Mom and will be missed by the countless lives she touched. Alice treasured the time playing Mahjong with her friends. She was a proud "American Girl" who loved old movies, children, dogs, and her NY Yankees. Her home was always filled with laughter and the music she was so passionate about. Alice had tremendous pride and love for her family. Surviving are her son, Gregory Jones at home; her daughter, Bonnie Jones and her son-in-law Kevin Kelley of Howell; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Hudak and by her sister, Eleanor Ellerbrook, both of Brick. A memorial will be held on Saturday, February 27. Visiting hours will be from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 3 p.m., a special service will be held. The family suggests casual dress.
