|  Kathryn Elwood Meyer, 78, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Monday, August 23, 2010. Born and raised in Newark, she has lived in Point Pleasant since 1973. Mrs. Meyer was a member of B.P.O. Elks, Point Pleasant Lodge No. 1698, where she was affectionately known as "Crab Cake Kay" for the numerous crab cake dinners she made. Kay was also an avid reader, enjoyed cooking, and was a parishioner of Saint Uriel the Archangel Church, Sea Girt. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis L. Meyer and by her brothers, Thomas, Gene, and William Elwood. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy & Rich Troppoli of Toms River, Colleen & Charlie Carroll of Jackson, and Kerry & Allen Edwards of Groveland, FL; two sisters, Maureen Duggan and Betty Martino; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Rob, Bridget, Charlie, Suzanne, Colleen, Billy, and Michael; and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Allie, Sean, and Logan, complete her legacy of love and devotion. Relatives and friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Thursday, August 26 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 27 a service will be held at the funeral home followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
