Obituary of Elizabeth Olga Scholer

Elizabeth Olga Petersen Scholer, 82, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Friday, May 29, 2015. Born in New York City, to the late Alfred and Marguerite Petersen, she lived in Union, NJ, Meadville, PA, and resided in Point Pleasant since 1974. Mrs. Scholer was a registered nurse and graduate of Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and of Boston University where she earned her B.S.N. She enjoyed photography, gardening, and animals, especially petting everyone's dog. Also she was a parishioner of Saint Mary's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Niels Erik Scholer, and sister, Nancy Nicolaysen. Surviving are her daughter, Anne-Marie Scholer of Winchester, MA and her beloved cat, Cleo. At 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 4 a memorial service will be celebrated at Saint Mary's by-the-Sea Church, Bay & Atlantic Avenues, Point Pleasant Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Inurnment will take place at the Parish Memorial Garden.
