Obituary of Mary Fitzpatrick

Mary Fitzpatrick, nee Travia, 94, formerly of Toms River, peacefully passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Brookdale Senior Living Community in Chapel Hill, NC. She was born in Paterson, NJ to Giuseppina and Vincenzo Travia on February 13, 1921. She married George Fitzpatrick on September 12, 1943 and lived in Paterson, NJ until 1957, Hawthorne, NJ until 1994, Toms River, NJ until 2012, and Chapel Hill, NC. She worked hard at various jobs during her life. She is survived by her son, Dennis and his wife Rosa, son, George and his wife Laureen; three grandchildren, Michelle, Dennis, and Jimmy and his wife Melissa; two great-grandchildren, Autumn and James; and siblings, affectionately known as Margie, Tiny, Joey, and Ginger. She was predeceased by her husband, George; and siblings, affectionately known as Sadie, Ceil, Carmen, Johnny, Josephine, and Mario. She would have earned an honorary doctorate in nurturing if one existed. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Wed., June 10 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:30 a.m., Thurs., June 11 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Church, Toms River, followed by interment at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
