Obituary of John Doyle

John "Jack" Doyle, 93, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Jack, born and raised in the Greenville Section of Jersey City, relocated to the Jersey Shore to be close to his family just a few years ago. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 24, 9:30 a.m., at Saint Peter Church, 406 Forman Ave., Point Pleasant Beach. Viewing will be Friday, Oct. 23 from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Jack, devoted husband of the late Margaret (Margie) nee Lauten, is survived by his son, Jack and his wife Cindy; daughters , Kathy Doyle and Margaret Mary (Maggie); sister-in-law, Joan Lauten; along with his beloved grandchildren, Kimberly Doyle, Meghan Zabelski, Madison Ranges,; many adoring nieces and nephews; and the many friends who affectionately called him "Uncle Jack." He was the brother of the late Bernard, Audrey Chiorazzi, and Carolyn Byrnes. Jack especially loved family gatherings, Monmouth and Meadowlands Racetracks. He particularly enjoyed sing-alongs and would be the first to offer a solo. His humor was razor sharp and ever present. His witty observations were classic. Most of all Jack loved his family. Jack's personality won him countless friends; all feeling his warmth in his presence. Those who knew Jack mourn his passing along with his family, but are ever grateful for the pleasure of his company. He was truly a Jersey City Legend. In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory to Mary's Place By the Sea www.marysplacebythesea.org would be appreciated.
