Obituary of William G. Luell, III

William George Luell, III, 56, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 5, 2016. Born in Pensacola, Florida, he lived in Houston, Texas, and recently moved to Point Pleasant, New Jersey, to be closer to family. Bill was a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the United States Coast Guard. He also worked as maintenance director for the Greater Houston YMCA for many years. He was predeceased by his father, William G. Luell, Jr. Surviving are Bill's wife, Kathleen (Bergmann) Luell; daughters, Sara Christine Luell and Melissa Dawn Luell; and son, William G. Luell, IV. Also surviving are his mother, June Luell; brother, Steve Luell; and sisters, Sharon Laputka and Janice Laputka. From 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, August 13, a memorial visitation will be held at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At noon, military honors will be rendered.
