Obituary of Shirley A. Mullen

Shirley A. Von Hoven Mullen, 80, of Brick, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born in Teaneck and grew up in Bergen County where she graduated from Hackensack High School. She then moved to Brick in 1967 where she raised her family. . Along with her husband she founded Franley Wood Products, a family owned business operated today by their two sons. She devoted her life to her husband and children. For her, family always came first, they were the center of her world. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank; her parents, Edgar and Lula Von Hoven; and by her brother, Robert. Surviving are her children, Sharon Conley and her husband Kevin, Jodie Wood and her husband Bob, Peter Mullen and his wife Amy, Michael Mullen and his honey Elsa, James Mullen and his wife Kathy, and Lynda Jerolaman and her husband Steve. Also surviving are her sister, Mildred Baird; sixteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 – 6 p.m., Sunday, October 23 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9:30 a.m., Monday, October 24 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, Point Pleasant Beach, followed by interment at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
