Obituary of Nicholas A. Santucci
Nicholas A. Santucci, of Point Pleasant, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 24, 2016. He was 65.
Born in Newark to the late Daniel and Carmela Santucci, he was raised in Irvington and lived in Lakewood, prior to moving to Point Pleasant eleven years ago.
He worked for Western Electric, AT&T, Lucent, and retried from AVAYA as Operations Supervisor.
Nick was a baseball enthusiast and avid Yankees fan. He coached baseball for the Senior League and Garden State League, as well as the Big League of Lakewood, which he co-founded.
Surviving are his wife of forty-four years, Carol Yadusky Santucci; daughter, Stephanie Scalabrini and her husband David of Point Pleasant; and son, Nicholas Santucci, Jr. and his wife Jillian of Jackson. Also surviving are his sister, Marie Rao and her husband Anthony; aunt, Phyllis Montefusco; four grandchildren, Dominic, Nicholas, Juliana, and Chayse; nephews, Anthony and Bill; and many dear family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m., Thursday, October 27 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 28 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in his memory to Saint Jude Children's Hospital www.stjude.org would be appreciated.
