Obituary of Susan C. (Hooper) Clayton

Susan C. Hooper Clayton, 71, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Sunday, February 26, 2017. Susan was a lifelong Point Pleasant resident and graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School. She worked as an electrical assembler at Buck Engineering, later Lab-Volt Systems, Wall. An avid reader, Susan enjoyed crocheting, on-line gaming, and most of all, loved her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John R. Clayton, III; parents, Fred & Maryon (Myers) Hooper; and son-in-law, Frank Takas. Surviving are three daughters, Theresa Takas of Point Pleasant, Maryon Marasco, and Michelle Griggs and her husband Clinton, all of Brick; and her son, John R. Clayton, IV and his wife Lisa of Forked River. Also surviving are her twin sister, Cathleen Sokol; sister, Nancy Pawin; brother, Robert C. Hooper; grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Madyson, Michael, Anton, Ryan, Jayce, Cory, Hunter, John, and Gabriella; great-granddaughter, Teagan; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
