Obituary of Dagmar Swenson Smith
Dagmar Swenson Smith entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at her home in Point Pleasant.
Born and raised in Plainfield she was a proud member of her "little Swedish church," Pilgrim Covenant, and also faithfully attended the former First Baptist Church in Point Pleasant Beach.
She worked for many years as a medical secretary in South Plainfield before retiring full time to Point Pleasant, where she and her late husband volunteered at Point Pleasant Hospital and continued to enjoy the rest of a long, happy marriage, traveling, and entertaining their many friends.
Dagmar was predeceased by four brothers and her beloved husband, Oscar.
Surviving are her loving daughters, Linda (Richard) Fieros, Nancy Dennis) Callaghan; two grandsons, Conor and Brendan; her dear sisters, Doris Hopf, and many nieces and nephews.
At Noon, Friday, March 10 a graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NJ www.alz.org/nj the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey www.vnahg.org or simply do something nice for someone, as Dagmar always did.
