Obituary of Peter M. Jager, Sr.

Peter M. Jager, Sr., 77, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Tuesday, March 27, 2017. Born in Elizabeth to the late Peter and Agnes Jager, he lived in Hillside before moving to Point Pleasant forty years ago. Mr. Jager had worked in sales and retired as owner of Metro Business Systems, Point Pleasant. He was a United States Air Force veteran and was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, JoAnn (Coomber) Jager; two daughters, Kristen Miller and Charles Ordino of Point Pleasant Beach, Lauren Jager-Liebel and husband Frank of Brick; and son, Peter M. Jager, Jr. and partner Clarie Minarick of Brick. Also surviving are his brother, Donald Jager; sister, Patricia Trainor; four grandchildren, Hope, Hayley, and Heather Roselle, and Casey Miller; and nieces and nephews, Susan and Chip Gahr, Marcy Trainor, Robert and Nicole Trainor, Dean Jager, Lisa Berg, and Scott and Melissa Jager. A memorial visitation will be from 3 – 6 p.m., Monday, April 2 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 5:30 p.m. a service will be held.
