Obituary of Dorothea "Dot" May Goodfellow

Dorothea "Dot" (Siefken) Goodfellow, 90, of Wall, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Brandywine Assisted Living, Howell. Born in Elizabeth to the late Emil and Helen Siefken, she lived in Cranford and moved to the Manasquan area in 1945. She was a graduate of Manasquan High School, Class of 1946. Dot was a quilter at Manasquan United Methodist Church; was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Manasquan, where she crocheted many hats for newborns; was a former leader for the Girl Scouts of America; and was devoted to her family. Surviving are her husband, John Goodfellow; daughter, C.J. Goodfellow Sabosik and husband Robert of Point Pleasant; and son, Scott Goodfellow and wife Christina of Jupiter, FL. Also surviving are her nephew, Herbert Siefken and his wife Sharon; sister, Jean Speck; six grandchildren, Melissa, Christopher, Stephen, Michelle, Meredith, and Megan; and six great-grandchildren, Alex, Ella, Isabelle, Jake, Meric, and Madison. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m., Friday, April 20 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 21 a service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 6 Osborn Ave., Manasquan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Susan G.
