Obituary of Ellen Roberts

Ellen Roberts, 84, of Metedeconk (Brick), NJ died on Monday, March 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Roberts. Ellen was born in Newark, NJ. Upon graduation from Irvington HS, she attended Berkley Secretarial School. Ellen was a member of Trinity Covenant Church in Livingston, NJ. Ellen and Tom were married in 1956. They raised their family in Florham Park and Brick, NJ. They retired to their home on the Metedeconk River in 1988 where they loved life on the water! Ellen's greatest legacy will be her love for family and for capturing our life in pictures. Ellen is survived by her son, Tom and his wife Cheryl of Allentown, PA and their children, Tommy, Brittney and Chelsea; her son Ken and his wife Julie of Lakewood, NJ and their children Jake and Brielle; and her daughter Lynne (Rider) and her husband Dick of Morris Plains, NJ and their children Mitch, Casey and Eric. Ellen most recently lived with her son Ken and his family where she was cared for by her daughter-in-law Julie and Vitas Hospice. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m., Thursday, Apr. 2, and from 10 - 10:30 a.m., Friday, Apr. 3 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10:30 a.m., Friday, a service will be held at the funeral home and followed by entombment at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan.
