Obituary of Elynore Alexander

ELYNORE ALEXANDER, of POINT PLEASANT BEACH, passed away on Sunday, December 14th, 2008 at the Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Hoboken and formerly of Irvington, she has lived in Point Pleasant Beach for over forty years. Mrs. Alexander worked as an operator for New York Telephone and also for different steamship companies in New York. She was a member of the Point Pleasant Beach Democrat Club and was a Board of Elections worker. For over twenty-five years she coordinated and supervised monthly bus trips to Atlantic City, which were later renamed in honor of her late husband. She was a devoted communicant of Saint Peter Church, Point Pleasant Beach, where she was a member of The Glorious Years and the Altar Rosary Society. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James C. Alexander. Surviving are her niece and Godchild, Elynor Campbell and her husband Frank of Chester, NY and several grand nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, at THE PABLE - EVERTZ FUNERAL HOME OF POINT PLEASANT, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9 a.m., Wednesday, Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, Point Pleasant Beach, followed by interment at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee.
