Obituary of Frank H. Herbert

FRANK H. HERBERT, 84, of POINT PLEASANT BEACH, passed away, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at his home. Born in Point Pleasant Beach, to the late William and Marion Wolt Herbert, he was a life-long resident. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in Germany with the 160th Infantry. Frank worked as carpenter and retired from Richard Smith Builders twenty-two years ago. He was predeceased by his brother, William Herbert and by his sisters, Margaret Collins and Lillian Connors. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of sixty years, Vivian Risden Herbert; his daughter, Vivian M. Adams; his grandson, Thomas E. Adams and his wife Kris; two great-grandsons, Ray & Jack Adams; his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Parker and her husband Jack; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, at THE PABLE - EVERTZ FUNERAL HOME OF POINT PLEASANT, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, a service will be held at the funeral home, followed by interment at White Lawn Cemetery, Point Pleasant. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to either the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society are suggested.
