Garry E. Sholtis, of Bay Head, passed away in his home Monday, February 22, 2021 surrounded by friends and family after a prolonged illness.
He is survived by his children, Stephen Canneto, Marion Segarra, and Rhonda Perkins. He also leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Karinhe Canneto; sons-in-law, Peter Segarra and Kenneth Perkins; and grandchildren, Leighann, Dylan, Shannon, Samuel, Kris, and Kaitlyn.
He is predeceased by his wife, Judy Sholtis; and parents, Elsie (Garry) and Edward Sholtis.
Garry was a lifelong railroader, working as a conductor for over thirty years, and prided himself on being the last conductor to wear the full uniform. He enjoyed trains, classic European sports cars, the Green Bay Packers, Civil War history, and a corn cob pipe.
