Obituary of Grace E. Obsuth

Grace E. Murgio Obsuth, 80, of Point Pleasant, who forty years ago gracefully accepted her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Passaic to the late Giacomo and Josephine (Alessi) Murgio, she lived in the Passaic and Clifton area and summered in Point Pleasant since 1960, moving there permanently in 1992. Mrs. Obsuth never let M.S. diminish her spirit of giving or the care she so lovingly bestowed upon her family and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Michael Murgio and by her sisters, Elizabeth Maggio and Annette Cataffo. Surviving are her husband of nearly fifty-eight years, Louis A. Obsuth, Jr.; two sons, Louis A. Obsuth, III and his wife Mary Ellen and Robert J. Obsuth and his wife Donna, her brother, Frank Murgio of Point Pleasant; and four grandchildren, Kristyn and her husband Eric Kuehnen, Louis M., Rachel, and Robert, Jr., all of Point Pleasant. Friends may visit from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., Monday a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, Forman & Saint Louis Avenues, Point Pleasant Beach, followed by a committal service at Saint Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt.
