Obituary of Robert John Stengel

Robert John Stengel, 79, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Friday, August 28, 2009 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Born in Union City, to the late Oscar and Yolanda Stengel, and lived in Fort Lee, moving to Point Pleasant in 1948. Bob was a self employed plumber in the Point Pleasant area for many years. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Bob enjoyed fishing and was a member of the N.R.A. and the American Legion International, formerly of Point Pleasant Beach. Surviving are two sons, Peter Stengel and his wife Courtney of Doylestown, PA and John Stengel and his fiancee Sandra of Brick; his brother, Ed Stengel of Marathon, FL; and three grandchildren, Drew, Ryan, and Ashley. Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 4 p.m., Monday, August 31 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 4 p.m. a service of remembrance will be held at the funeral home.
