Obituary of Marion Parker

Marion "Peggy" Herbert Parker, 81, of Brick, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at the Claremont Care Center. Born in Brielle, to the late William and Marion (Walt) Herbert, she was a life long area resident. Peggy was truly devoted to her family. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Brick Post 8867 and Saint Paul's United Methodist Church, Herbertsville. She was predeceased by her brothers, Frank and William Herbert and sisters, Lillian Connors and Margaret Collins. Surviving are her husband of sixty two years, Zachary "Jack" L. Parker; two daughters, Mary Rager of Toms River and H. Debra Foti and her husband Vincent of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Scott Rager and his wife Marion, Shiela Rager, and Dana Foti; four great-grandchildren, Desiree, Joseph, Melissa, and Daniel; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, September 9 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. (732-899-3300) At 10:30 a.m. Thursday a service will be held at the funeral home, followed by entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
