Obituary of Lillian Angela Minarelli

Lillian Angela Minarelli, 98, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, November 14, 2009. Born in Cliffside Park, to the late Anthony and Marie (Marzolla) Palatella, she was formerly of New York City and Union City and has lived in Point Pleasant since 1955. Lillian was a skilled seamstress, working in the NY garment district for many years. She loved sewing, crocheting, and cooking, Ultra Thin Pancakes and Eggplant Parmesan were her "Signature Dishes." Other favorite pastimes were trips to Atlantic City, playing the NJ Lottery, and Lottery Scratch-Off Tickets. She was a member of the Lady Guard of Point Pleasant; the Saint Martha Beehive; and was a communicant of the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Cesare Pio Minarelli. Surviving are her daughter, Ginger LaMotta and her husband Don of Branchburg; her sister, Lorraine Carunchio; four grandchildren, Lance LaMotta and his wife Renata Maia, Alyssa Clark and her husband Scott, Tara LaMotta, and Tiffany Prime and her husband Jason; and five great grandchildren, Garrett, Kailyn, and Kyra Clark and Kevin and Regan Prime. Friends may visit from 3 - 5 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, November 18 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9:30 a.m., Thursday a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, followed by interment at Saint Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt.
