Obituary of Josephine R. Thompson

Josephine Rogers Thompson, 89, of Lakewood, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Born in Trenton and raised in Lakewood, she graduated from Lakewood High School, Class of 1937. She was a lifelong area resident. A homemaker, Josephine's devotion to her family was paramount. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Otto C. Thompson. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanine Bauer of Brick and Jill Seyfried and her husband Bruce of Point Pleasant; four grandchildren, Brandon, Stacy, Philip, and Jillian; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may visit from 6 - 8 p.m., Sunday, November 22 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., Monday, a service will be held at the funeral home followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. As an expression of sympathy, donations made in her memory to the Jersey Shore Animal Center, 185 Brick Blvd., Brick, NJ 08723 are suggested.
