Obituary of Herman W. Schaar, III

Herman W. Schaar, III, 67, of Point Pleasant, passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday, November 21, 2009. He was born in Neptune and has lived in Point Pleasant for the last forty years. He worked for Trend Homes, retiring in 2007. Herman was an avid sportsman that included a love for hunting and fishing. He also always rescued any animals in need. Surviving are his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Arlene Schaar; five children, Debbie of Manchester, Suzanne of Brick, Laurie of Farmingdale, and Arthur and Andrew, both of Point Pleasant; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. & from 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday, November 25, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road (732.899.3300), where at 8:30 p.m. a service will be held. Cremation will be private.
