Obituary of Carlton E. Jones

Carlton E. "Putt" Jones, 82, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, November 28, 2009. A New Hampshire native, Putt has lived in Point Pleasant for sixty-two years. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. For over forty years he worked as a service station attendant and retired from Dave's Mobil, Point Pleasant. Surviving are his beloved wife Audrey Garthwait Jones; his son, Christopher Jones and his wife Diane of Point Pleasant, two daughters, Laurie Reilly and her husband Neil of Brick and Tracie Turner and her husband Barr of Neptune; his sister, Pauline Blair and her husband Charles; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Ashley, & Christina Reilly, Barr Turner Jr., Christine, Catherine, & Carolyn Jones; and dear friends, Henry and Bob. Friends may visit from 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 8:30 p.m. a service will be held. Cremation will be held privately.
