Obituary of Adele T. Ball

Adele Troxler Ball, 104, of Point Pleasant, passed away, January 6, 2010. Born on December 31, 1905 in Newark, to the late Gustavus and Louisa Troxler, she lived in Newark and Caldwell. In the early years of her life she was executive secretary to the president of Lloyds of London Insurance Co., NY. She and her husband moved to Point Pleasant Beach in 1939. In 1945, she and her husband opened the Wm. M. Ball Real Estate Agency and after the death of "Bill" in 1957, she ran the business until her retirement in 1992. Mrs. Ball was a member of the Ocean County Multiple Listing Service; South Monmouth Board of Realtors; and South Monmouth Multiple Listing Service. She had the distinction of being the oldest living member of the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church, where she was an active member for several years. Her love of her family and profound advice to them will forever be remembered and cherished. Mrs. Ball was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Ball and by her dear sister, Verna J. Troxler. Surviving are her daughter, Maureen Ball Breda and her son-in-law, Jack Breda as well as her dear grandchildren, Beth A. Breda, John W. Breda and his wife Deborah, Maureen Murphy and her husband Matthew, and Jennifer Barth and her husband Gerald. Also surviving are her twelve great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Phoebe, Chloe, & Noah Spader; Weston & Elsie Breda; Jack & Bridget Murphy; and Lindsay, Nicole & Gerald Barth, Jr. Friends may visit from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., Friday, January 8 at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 4:30 p.m. a service will be officiated by the Rev. Dr. Carlos Wilton. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle, will be held privately. As an expression of sympathy, donations made in her memory to either the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church or the Residents' Fund at Claremont Care Center, would be appreciated.
