Obituary of Bryan W. Martin

Bryan W. Martin, 49, of Point Pleasant passed away, Friday, January 8, 2009. Born in Lakewood, to the late William and Mary Alice (nee Reid) Martin, he was a lifelong area resident and a 1978 graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School. Bryan worked as an officer for the Ocean County Sheriff's Department for twenty-five years and was a lifetime member of Point Pleasant Borough Fire Company No. 1. Surviving are his beloved wife of eighteen years, Janet Rizzolo Martin and two sons, Ian William Martin and Matthew Francis Martin. Also surviving are his sister, Lori Sue Martin; two aunts, Pearl Martin and Charlene Rappleyea; two uncles, Don Reid and Fred "Buddy" Reid; several cousins; and many friends. Relatives and friends may visit from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, at the Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road (732.899.3300) At 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant, followed by entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
