Obituary of Jeffrey A. McSherry

Jeffrey A. McSherry, 53, of Brick passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Kearny. He later lived in Bloomfield and Parsippany before moving to Brick in 1996. He worked for Red Star Express as a loss prevention manager for many years in the Newark and Parsippany terminals. Jeffrey was predeceased by his father, Norman James McSherry in 1998. He is survived by his beloved mother, Martha Cywar McSherry; his devoted sisters and their spouses, Martha Rose & Michael Whittles of Point Pleasant and Norma Jean & Frank Tortorello of Brick; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Sabolchick, Melissa Costantini, Elizabeth Tortorello, and Michael & Steven Whittles; four great nephews, Patrick, Brian, Sean, and Connor; his loving companion, Bette Aldridge of Toms River; and his uncle, Adam Cywar of Austin, TX. He will be sadly missed by all. At Jeffrey's request, there will be no viewing and cremation will be held privately. At 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2010, a Memorial Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant. Donations to either the American Cancer Society or Meridian Hospice would be greatly appreciated. The Pable - Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.
