Obituary of Amy Durrua East

Amy Durrua-East, 49, of Brick, passed away, Thursday, June 22, 2017. Born in Point Pleasant, she lived in Brick most of her life. Amy was a skilled jewelry maker and was known as the, "Bead Queen." She was predeceased by her brother, Jon Durrua. Amy is survived by her children, Julia East and companion Chris Reinoso, Andrew East and fiancée Jess Bransky, Olivia East-Tersten and husband Evan, and Lane East. She is also survived by her father, Edmund Durrua, Jr.; her mother, Jennie Mae Durrua; her brother and sisters, Margaret Durrua Rice, Edmund E. Durrua, III, Polly Durrua Custis, Kathleen Shannon, David Durrua, and Mary Ellen Durrua-Hishon; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Penny, Kylie; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 – 4 p.m., Sunday, June 25 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., Monday, June 26 a service will be held at the funeral home and followed by interment at Lauralton Baptist Cemetery.
