I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

Through granddaughter Meg, who often spoke of Nana, with Shane, who visited with Meg and related the details of their visits to me, I felt as if I knew “Nana” for a long time - so I will cherish my memory of her on the day we actually met on Mother’s Day this past year with Meg and Shane. As she reminisced of past events, we drank it in and her spirit of independence, no-nonsense, take-charge personality was ever present as she gave her opinions and a piece or two of advice. At times, she spoke as if she were still working and then remembering she was convalescing, related that she would be returning to work soon. I saw the newspaper on the stand next to her bed that I understood was an intrical part of her morning life routine while at her position in the family business which she offered to me because she was done reading it. Talk about positive outlook . . . she was 95 yrs of age, determined to go back to work and still read the newspaper - but God had other plans for Nana and called her home to be with the Lord. May God bless her richly in her rewards as a Christian in heaven and we will have coffee and read the newspaper together when I get there - - Shane’s mom, Val
