Rev. Dr. Arthur A. Rouner, Jr. posted a condolence
Saturday, May 12, 2018
Dear Gretchen Batchelar,
Choate sends news of classmates who have crossed over. I was in Jack's class of '47 at Choate, and want to thank you - and God - for his good and faithful life.
God bless you and your family in these days. Molly and I are not far behind, after 40 years in parish ministry and 20+ more in reconciliation and forgiveness work in Rwanda, Burundi, Congo et al, following the Rwanda genocide of 1994.
Sincerely,
Arthur Rouner

To the family you have my condolences. What a long full life your dear Jack lived. Death and the pain it causes were never Jehovah God's purpose for us. May you find comfort in knowing that God promises to do away with death forever at 1 Corinthians 15:26. May His promise that we will one day see our loved ones who have passed away at Acts 24:15, give you hope. What a wonderful time that will be. In time if you would like to know more about God's promises by means of His son Jesus, please visit jw.org.
