Obituary of Antoinette "Ann Marie" Bogan
Antoinette "Ann Marie" Bogan, 63, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away suddenly at her home.
Born in Newark, NJ, she lived in the Point Pleasant area for most of her life and was a graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School and Ocean County College.
Ann Marie had worked at her family's business, Ocean County Music, Point Pleasant Beach, which was founded by her father in 1965, for most of her life.
Ann Marie loved Classic Rock, Mickey Mouse, dancing on tables, laughing very loud, and driving her family and friends crazy. She was complicated and loved extremes. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She made us laugh and she made us cry, sometimes at the same time. There was no denying that her heart was big, her voice was bold, and she lived her life her way. She will be dearly missed.
She was predeceased by her father, Pasquale "Pat" Corona, and her niece, Michelle Conaty.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Bogan of OR and Allison Bogan McCanse and her husband Andrew of VT; and by her mother, Carmella "Dolly" Corona of Point Pleasant. Also surviving are her sisters, Maribeth Corona-Evans and her husband Vincent and Patricia Corona; brothers, Salvatore Corona and Michael Corona and his partner Grace May; grandchildren, Eban and Amedeo; nephews, Joel, Philip, and Vincent; and cats Willow, Annie, Meg, and Molly.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday, May 4, at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 9 a.m., Saturday, May 5, a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, Point Pleasant, followed by interment at Saint Anne Cemetery, Wall.
Donations made in her memory to Point Paws Animal Welfare Committee of Point Pleasant, who will be helping us find loving homes for her cats, would be greatly appreciated. Please mail donations to: Point Paws, 103 Chicago Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742.
