Obituary of Gerald E. "Jerry" Lee

Gerald “Jerry” Lee, 63, of Manahawkin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A longtime resident of Point Pleasant, he was a 1973 graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School.  Jerry was a member of Carpenters Local No. 255 and a legend of his trade.  He was also a valued employee of Great Adventure for forty years. 

A devoted family man, Jerry could fix anything.

He was predeceased by his mother, Alice Lee; father, George Lee; step-mother, Dolores Lee Barrett; brother, Richard Applegate; and father-in-law, Hugh Hughes.

Surviving are his beloved wife, of forty-one years, Colleen Hughes Lee; son, Brian Lee and wife Kristen Lee of Manahawkin; and daughter, Bridget Lee of Neptune; and former son-in-law, Christopher DeLuise.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, McKenna, Morgan, and Logan Lee; mother-in-law, Maryann Hughes; brothers, George (Geraldine) Lee, Walter Applegate, Lenny Applegate, and John (Jane) Stoll; sister, Karen (James) Monahan; sister-in-law, Kim Boesch; brother-in-law, Mickey (Kellie) Hughes; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, whom he was adored by.

At 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 12 a Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, 406 Forman Ave., Point Pleasant Beach, followed by inurnment at Saint Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt.
