Obituary of Cristian Eric Zeak
Cristian Eric Zeak, 49, of Brick, passed away, Friday, August 31, 2018.
Born in Summit, he was raised in Point Pleasant and has lived in Brick for the past ten years.
Cristian was a graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School, and earned his Master’s degree from the University of Saint Andrew’s, Scotland, and a second Master’s from the University of Delaware.
He began a career as a tennis official for the United States Tennis Association while working as a Trust Officer for Wilmington Trust in Wilmington, Delaware. During his time as an official he earned his White Badge allowing him to officiate at Wimbledon and the French Open. Cris was one of the first members of the Meeting of the Minds team in high school and he was a Jeopardy! Champion.
Surviving are his parents, David and Cheryl (Ehret) Zeak; sister, Eryn Zeak-Valentino; and his beloved rescue dog, “Radar.” Also surviving are his grandfather, Joseph Nicholas Ehret, II; Aunts, Uncles, many cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Frank and Thelma Zeak and Verna Bryan Ehret; and uncle, James Zeak.
Memorial visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 7 p.m. a service will be held.
