Obituary of Thomas M. Favire
Thomas M. Favire, 70, of Point Pleasant, passed away, Saturday, November 17, 2018, after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Elizabeth to the late George and Martha Favire, he was raised there and has lived in Point Pleasant since 1976.
Tom was a union painter and in later years he worked as a self-employed painter.
He was a United States Navy, Vietnam veteran (1967-1969), and also served many years in the United States Army National Guard.
Tom had a lifelong love of nature and enjoyed fishing, hunting, his dogs, and the Yankees. He was also a member of the V.F.W., Post 4715, Point Pleasant Beach.
He was predeceased by his brother, George Favire.
Surviving are his wife of forty-two years, Debra (Hoffman) Favire; two brothers, Robert Favire & Gene Favire; two sisters, Kathy Mauser & Barbara Figueiredo; many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends. He is also survived by his loyal canine kids, “Bruiser,” “Belle,” and “Button.”
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, November 25 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Cremation will be private.
