My earliest memory of Ron was him regularly stopping by my grandmothers for 4 o’clock tea on the porch with her in the mid sixties.

Dear Patty and family, I only learned today of Ronnie's passing. I'm so sorry. He was such a gentle and kind man. I remember when I was young, maybe 5ish, so Ron would have been in his mid twenties, and Weedie yelling at me to leave him alone so he could work. It was a never ending battle Weed had. I adored him. The whole Colie family feels the same way. He was a one in a million!

Patty, you and the family are very much in our thoughts and prayers these days. We deeply share your loss and also have a big empty spot in our lives. At the same time are so thankful for the friendship and purpose God has allowed our families to share over so many years. There are so many special memories from the times we were able to share together.
We first met in 1964 before we were married. Ron’s parents were faithful supporters of Jan’s Mom and Dad and their ministry in Bolivia. That was the connection that brought us together and grew over the years as we visited during our furloughs from Bolivia. I can’t find pictures from our visits in 1969-70 but found some from 1975. How we thank God for you and your family. Now you and your children have continued the support and friendship of our children – what an amazing example of God’s faithfulness seen in his children.
In our early years in Bolivia your gifts always arrived right when we had a special need in order to keep our truck on the road. One of the mechanics who worked on our Willys wagon in 1969 wasn’t a believer at the time but later came to know the Lord and has been a church leader for many years. His wife and daughter who is now a dentist have been two of the most faithful volunteers working with Corina in reaching and serving street children in Bolivia. Our Lord has truly woven our lives together and we look forward to seeing the whole picture when we soon gather for eternity. We still hope to see you before then if the Lord allows that but meanwhile we will cherish the many memories and continue to thank God for you and Ronnie and your family.

Growing up in Bay Head in the summers, Mr. Osborn was another father/grandfather figure for me. He was often around the house, fixing it up, making everything look nice and function well. He was always very kind to me, and helped me develop the sense of belonging that is so important to young people. He took the time to say hi and ask how I was doing. I looked forward to seeing him and our almost daily chats. I always think of him wearing long pants, long sleeve shirt, and his hat in the middle of the hot summer afternoons. He pushed ahead and got his work done. I'm very grateful to have had him in my life.
With appreciation,
Peter
