Ron and I are saddened to hear that Monica is no longer here. She was bright, energetic, cheerful, dedicated to our community through her governance, and a wonderful mentor. We shared so many laughs and political discussions over the years, of course with vino in hand. She has left her mark and will never be forgotten. RIP Monica!

What more can I say that hasn't already so eloquently been written? Monica was a special lady who cared for everyone, especially the underdogs for whom she fought. Her selfless manner and jovial spirit will forever guide my life. We will miss her delightful, witty personality and overly generous nature. God bless you, Monica. With deepest condolences, Kathleen and Kevin Foley

I loved Monica from the moment I met her in the early 1980s. Her sparkling Irish eyes and infectious laugh and generous spirit were remarkable. She was so much fun to be with and there was a group of women reporters, state government folks, etc., who hung out in Trenton back in the day. We had many Girls Night Out events with dinner and drinks and a lot of talk and even more laughs. I am so saddened that she has left us. I wish peace and cherished memories to all of her family and friends.

Annie, Scarlet and family of Monica Walsh,
It seems like yesterday I met my husband Tim’s beautiful cousins, Monica and Deirdre. They soon became dear friends as well as beloved family members! When they were all together they took delight in sharing their most memorable moments growing up, and our gatherings were always filled with love and laughter!
Monica so smart, kind and caring. If you knew her, then you also loved that infectious laugh those Walsh Ladies shared! I will always remember you with a smile and pray that you are now in peace with your sister, parents and of course, Tim.
With deepest sympathy and love,
Rose Sandford

A 63-year friendship is a thing of beauty. You and Deirdre were my longest, closest friends. So many memories, that will be documented at a later date, but I'll always hold dear our childhood escapades, and when you visited Alan and me in Italy...Harry's Bar, the gondola, Rome, and visiting the Sisters in Florence. My love to all of your family.

A wonderful friend, who always will have a special spot in my heart. A true professional, with a great sense of humor. I will always remember our times at the "Correspondent's Dinners" and the "Walks" to Washington. Forever in my thoughts !

I only wish we had one more time.
I'll see you on my home going!
