Obituary of Michael John Clapp

Michael John Clapp, 25, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019.

Mike lived in Point Pleasant Beach for all of his life and was a 2012 graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School, where he was a member of the Varsity Wrestling team. 

He worked as a painter and was owner of Atlantic Coast Painting Company, Point Pleasant Beach.  Mike loved his time out fishing, surfing, boating, kiteboarding, sailing, and was the 2017 DN Junior North American Iceboat Racing Champion.  

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Arthur David Clapp; great-grandmother, Virginia Clapp; and uncle, Carl Keifer.

Mike is survived by his loving mother and father, David C. Clapp and Cindy A. Clapp; sister, Sandra E. Padilla; brother, David R. Clapp; and his grandparents, Karen Clapp and Ronald and Roberta Keifer.  He is also survived by his uncle, Ronald C. Keifer and family, Daniel C. Clapp and family, aunt, Susan Clapp; nephews, Bradley Huston and Tyler Huston; niece, Kailyn Huston; several cousins and many friends. 

Visitation will be from 3 – 7 p.m., Friday, November 8 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 6 p.m. a service will be held.
