Obituary of Dolores Dalik

Dolores Dalik (nee Gadino), 78, of Point Pleasant, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 with her husband and son by her side.

Born in Union City to the late Samuel and Carmella Gadino, she grew up there and was a 1960 graduate of Emerson High School.  She also lived in Robertsville before moving to Point Pleasant in 1972.

 

Dolores was a retired cashier from Foodtown, Point Pleasant Beach, where she worked for twenty years. 

 

She was a member and past president of both the Point Pleasant Elks, Lodge 1698, Ladies Auxiliary and the Point Pleasant Chapter of the Deborah Hospital Foundation.  She also was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Point Pleasant, and volunteered as an AARP Foundation Tax-Aide.

 

Dolores loved animals, baking, cooking, and traveling.  Along with her husband and their RV, she visited the entire continental United States.

 

Surviving are her beloved husband of fifty-four years, Custer Dalik, Jr. and her son, Steven Dalik of Lanoka Harbor.  She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.  She was predeceased by her brother, John Gadino; sister, Rose Pasquale; and her loving Beagle, Jake. 

 

A memorial gathering will be at a later date.
