Obituary of Joseph Fredrick DeRosa
Joseph Fredrick DeRosa, 41, of Brick, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Born at Monmouth Medical Center, he grew up in Point Pleasant and was a graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School. After high school, he moved to California for a number of years then returned to the area. Most recently he lived in Brick.
Joe had worked as a sheet metal fabricator for E. P. Homiek, Lakewood, and was a member of Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church.
His biggest passion was surfing and he loved the beach and the ocean. He was also a skilled gardener, loved to cook, and to work with wood.
Surviving are his dear daughters, Isabella and Micaela DeRosa and a son, Jeremy who resides in California. Also surviving are his parents, Joseph and Robin DeRosa; his sisters, Elizabeth DeRosa and Tara Jo Sealander, her husband, Doug Sealander and his nephew, Michael and nieces, Allison, Lily, Julie, and Charleigh.
A memorial service is being planned at a later date. There will also be a “Paddle-Out” in his honor. If you would like to participate in that please email: amusgrave15@aol.com or kharinna_1@icloud.com
