


Obituary of Edward V. Leonard
Edward V. Leonard, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020.
Born in Scranton, PA to the late Edward and Hazel Leonard, he lived in Springfield, Union, and for the past thirty-three years in Point Pleasant and Fort Myers Beach, FL.
Ed was a graduate of Seton Hall University and proudly served in United States Army and was honorably discharged a Lieutenant.
He worked as a manufacturer’s representative and was owner, with his son, Brian, of Leonard Marketing Group, Point Pleasant. He prided himself in the ownership of his favorite classic ’56 T-Bird. As an animal lover, he always supported shelters and havens for animals.
He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-two years, Jean L. Leonard. Also surviving are his son, Brian Leonard and wife, Lucia of Berkley Heights; his daughter, Karen Stern of Chatham; and two grandchildren, Jennifer (Jennipuff) and Matthew.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, October 17 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. A graveside service and interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. (Facial coverings are required and adherence to social distancing will be in effect)
