


Obituary of William B. Petix
William B. Petix, 79, of Brick, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 24, 2020.
Born in Bronx, New York, he grew up in Maywood and lived for many years in Emerson before moving to Brick in 2004.
Mr. Petix was a graduate of Saint Peter’s Prep and Saint Peter’s College. He was an avid NY Giants and NY Mets fan and was a voracious reader.
He was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Suzanne (DeBlasio) Petix; and sister, Barbara Cavalluzzo.
Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Judith Petix and Moe Davidson of Brick. Also surviving are his niece, Suzanne Reineke and her husband, Jason; nephew, David Cavalluzzo; great-nephew, Mason Reineke; cousin and New York Times Crossword Puzzle partner, Joseph DeBlasio and his wife, Judi Myers; and many friends.
At 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October, 28 a graveside service and interment will take place at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah. (Facial coverings are required and adherence to social distancing will be in effect)
