




Obituary of Frank C. O'Brien
Frank Calvin O’Brien, 80, of Brick passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Born in Woodbridge, Frank lived in Great Meadows and Cranbury until moving to Brick in 1984. Frank was an entrepreneur at age of 17 when he opened his own greenhouses. He was involved in the Cranbury First Aid Squad and Point Pleasant Borough Rotary. When moving to Brick, he started O’Brien’s of Point Pleasant Florist, Nursey, and Landscaping. He ran his business for almost thirty years before retiring. He loved serving others and loved the community.
Frank was predeceased in death by two loving wives, Daphne Anne Ryan O’Brien (twenty-seven years) and Jaqueline Bruns O’Brien (thirteen years); his parents, Frank and Hannah Archibald O’Brien; three siblings, William O’Brien, Edith Fabian, and Anne Szymborski; his niece, Rhonda O’Brien; and this past year, his nephew, Billy O’Brien.
Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Colleen O’Brien; his son, Frank William O’Brien (Kerry); his grandchildren, Chelsea Rueda (Michael), Kayla and Krystina Pinkava; and his great-granddaughter, Ava Rueda. Also surviving are his siblings, Donald O’Brien (Barbara) and Robert O’Brien (Elsie); as well as many more family members.
Frank’s thoughtfulness and generosity knew no bounds. He will be missed dearly, but his Irish eyes will always be smiling.
