Obituary of Patricia M. Reynolds
Patricia M. “Pat” Reynolds, 94, of Brick, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 peacefully at her home.
Born in Orange, NJ, she grew up in Cedar Grove and Montclair attending Our Lady of the Lake Grammar School and Immaculate Conception High School, later marrying and settling in North Caldwell, then retiring in Brick for the past twenty-six years. Pat was a certified Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey, training at Saint Michael’s Hospital (Newark) and working at various hospitals, including the New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company Clinic.
Pat was a faithful parishioner at Notre Dame Church (North Caldwell) and Saint Martha Church (Point Pleasant) and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. For over fifty-five years, she sang and competed nationally and internationally with Sweet Adelines International for the Heart of New Jersey, Suburban Sound and West Essex choruses, with a highlight of performing at Carnegie Hall. She enjoyed traveling Europe, the US and Canada, solving crossword and other word puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, having conversations over tea with friends, and spending quality time with all family, especially her grandchildren.
Daughter of the late John and Louise (Lana) Tierney, she was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia (Tierney) and Frank Cebello. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of fifty years, John J. Reynolds, her sister Sr. John Marie Tierney (Sisters of Charity), her son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Andrea (Manno) Reynolds; her grandchildren, Micayla, Caroline, and Anthony Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 – 6 p.m., Monday, February 8 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 9 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant. (Facial coverings are required and adherence to social distancing will be in effect at both locations.)
