Obituary of Patricia D. Spader

Patricia D. Spader, 87, of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ joined her loving husband Joseph A. Spader in heaven early Sunday, January 31st, 2021. She passed away peacefully at the Meridian Acute Care Facility in Wall Township.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ on July 8, 1933, she graduated Linden High School at 16. Two years later she married the love of her life, Joseph Spader. After the birth of their first son, Robert J. Spader, now of Silverdale, WA, they settled "down the shore" in Point Pleasant Beach. It was here that they built a home on Trenton Avenue where she still lived until her recent passing. They had two more sons, Donald J. Spader and Thomas C Spader, both of Point Pleasant Beach.

Patricia or "Pat" as she was known, lived a full and happy life, where she was a den mother for the Cub Scouts, volunteered at the local Little League, and enjoyed summers on Risden's Beach, two blocks away with her friends. Pat worked for the Point Pleasant Beach school system, working in the high school library and later at the G. Harold Antrim Elementary School. She was an avid reader and a loving grandmother to her nine grandchildren. She traveled to Europe with friends and enjoyed vacations in Florida and the Caribbean with her husband.

She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Spader, her parents, Margaret and James Donahue of Linden, NJ and her sister Anne Marshall of New Port Richey, FL.

She is survived by her sons, Robert, Donald and Thomas and her nine grandchildren, Jenae, Tyler, Hunter, Phoebe, Chloe, Noah, Dylan, Zackary and Abagail and her three great-grandchildren, Otis, Abel and Kaelyn.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions and concerns there will be no service at this time. There will be a celebration of life to be announced at a future date.
