Pamela Keefer

Obituary of Pamela B. Keefer

Pamela Brady Keefer, 75, died Monday February 8, 2021 at Ocean Medical Center.  Pam was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 9, 1945 to Dorothy Forsyth Brady and Vincent Brady.  Pam was predeceased by her parents, her brother Stephen, her son's father, Dr. John Wolf, and her husband Frederick S. Keefer, Jr.  Pam is survived by her loving children, Stephen Wolf (Denise Mutschler Wolf), Sarah Keefer, and cherished granddaughters Brady, Parker, and Mackenzie.

Pam grew up in Philadelphia attending Cecelia Academy, later graduating from Vermont College.  Pam especially loved her time spending summers within Bay Head, NJ and moved there permanently to raise her children, Stephen and Sarah.

Pam was an accomplished needlepoint stitcher.  She was always working on a piece to be given to a loved one.  “Every stitch was a stich of love” she would always say.  Pam was very faithful to her family and friends and particularly loved spending time with them on the beach.  When she was not on the beach, she spent much of her time at the Bay Head Yacht Club if not socializing, volunteering on the bay on a committee boat.  She was the recipient of the J.W. Orelup Memorial Trophy and a three-time winner of the Margarita Ver Planck Cattus Memorial trophy.

Pam loved to travel to her granddaughter's events whether it be field hockey, a stage presentation, or graduation, always giving them encouragement in their goals.  She truly enjoyed spending time with them whether it was at home, cheerleading at their sporting events, or sitting on a beach.

When you spent time with Pam, she made everyone she was with feel special and cared for.  Her friendship blossomed daily with her best friend and daughter, Sarah.  Please take a walk on the beach and say a prayer for Pam, a place she prayed for you.  And do not forget to watch at least one Flyers hockey game thinking of her as she was one of their most loyal fans!

Due to Covid-19 concerns, a celebration of life will be postponed until it is safe for all of us to be together.
