Obituary of Mary M. Kronenwetter

Mary McElwee Kronenwetter passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the age of 92. 

 

Mary was born on December 7, 1928 and was raised in Verona.  In the early 1960’s, Mary moved to Point Pleasant Beach with her children.  She enjoyed her time at the beach with her family and friends and worked at Ocean County National Bank and Bank of America until retirement. 

 

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Marguerite Oldham; her newborn son, Daniel McElwee (1957); her first husband, John Patrick McElwee; and her second husband, Harry Kronenwetter.

 

Surviving are her three children, Margaret McElwee, John J. McElwee (Joanne), and Loretta Rasmuessen (Eric); and four grandchildren, Daniel (fiancée, Stephanie), Brian (fiancée, Christie), Jennifer, and Kevin.

 

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care Mary received at the Artis Senior Living Center, Brick, and the compassionate care she received, in her final days, from Grace Hospice.

 

At 10 a.m., Saturday, March 6 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Peter Church, 406 Forman Ave., Point Pleasant Beach, followed by inurnment at Saint Catharine Cemetery, Sea Girt. (Facial coverings are required and adherence to social distancing will be in effect at both locations.)

 

In lieu of customary remembrances, donations made in her memory to the Jersey Shore Animal Center www.jerseyshoreanimalcenter.org  or a charity of the donor’s choice would be deeply appreciated.
