Obituary of Marie F. Hawkins

Marie F. Williams Hawkins, 92, of Point Pleasant, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 surrounded by her loving family, Marie's angels, prayers, and Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin Radio. 

Born on December 23, 1928 to the late Joseph and Frances Orlofsky, she was raised in North Bergen and for many years lived in Brick before moving to Point Pleasant in 1978. 

 

Marie had worked as a home health aide for the Visiting Homemakers of Ocean County and was a communicant of Saint Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach. 

 

She always had unconditional love for everyone and opened her heart to all who entered her home. 

 

She was predeceased by her first husband, William F. Williams in 1969. 

 

Marie is survived by her loving husband, John Hawkins; and was a beloved mother of Linda Betz, Joyce Thorn, Grace Kniatt, William Williams, Gary Williams, Carol Dimitriades, Diane Williams and their spouses.  She was also a loving grandmother to nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; and sister of Frank Orlofsky and the late, Joseph Orlofsky.

 

Visitation will be from 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday, February 28 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.  At 11 a.m., Monday, March 1 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Saint Peter R.C. Church, 406 Forman Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach. (Facial coverings are required and adherence to social distancing will be in effect at both locations.)
