


Obituary of Joan N. Beyer
Joan Nelson Beyer, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
Born in Roselle to the late Edward and Myrtle Nelson, she grew up there and lived in Brick for many years before moving to Point Pleasant thirty-five years ago.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. When not in Point Pleasant, Joan and her husband enjoyed winters at their home in Longboat Key, Florida. The two travelled extensively around the world, taking an exotic trip somewhere interesting every year.
She was predeceased by her son, Evan Beyer.
Surviving is her beloved husband of sixty-eight years, Norman. Also surviving are three children, Tracye Steel and her husband, Charles of Brick, Wayne Beyer and his fiancée, Patti Cohen of Bradenton, FL; and Leslie Bugg and her husband, Peter of Caledonia, IL; and seven grandchildren, Benjamin and his wife, Katie, David, Wayne and his fiancée, Lauren, Samantha and her husband, Dylan, Alexandra and her fiancée, Ryan, Sara, and Jack.
At 11 a.m., FRIDAY, JUNE 18 a Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Church of Saint Martha, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant, followed by inurnment at Saint Catharine Cemetery Mausoleum, Sea Girt.
