Obituary of Dorothy Garcia

Dorothy Dinter Garcia, 98, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021. 

Born in Brooklyn, to the late David and Clara Dinter, she lived in Jersey City and moved to Point Pleasant in 1968 and also lived in Leisure Village for many years before returning to Point Pleasant.

Mrs. Garcia worked in the cafeteria at the Point Pleasant Borough High School and was awarded The Golden Apple for her years of dedicated service.  She was active with many Leisure Village groups and loved spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Garcia and grandson, Benjamin Garcia.

Surviving are three sons, Joseph Garcia and his wife, Margaret of Toms River, Jeffrey Garcia and his wife, Janet of Point Pleasant, and Donald Garcia of Point Pleasant.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Richard Garcia, Jill Patino and husband, Frank, and James Kriel and wife, Carla; and her great-grandchild, Judah.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, June 3 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road.  Interment at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, will be held privately.
