


Obituary of Barbara M. Disbrow
Barbara Mae Disbrow, 91, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Alcoeur Gardens Memory Care Facility in Toms River.
Born in New Brunswick to the late George and Ida Blocker, she lived in Plainfield, East Orange, West Orange, and Toms River. She summered in Point Pleasant until moving there permanently twenty-nine years ago.
Mrs. Disbrow was a graduate of Montclair State University and retired from Columbian School, East Orange, where she taught third grade for many years. She was an avid reader, birdwatcher, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty-two years, Rodney D. Disbrow, Jr.
Surviving is her daughter, Dee Santos and her husband, Robert of Toms River. Also surviving are two cherished grandchildren, Reina and Cody.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 2 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Thursday, June 3 a service will be held at the funeral home, followed by a private interment at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
