


Obituary of Marie Roberts
Marie Grady Pischly Roberts, 97, of Brick, returned to the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, June 18, 2021. She was born in Macksville, West Virginia on October 12, 1923.
Marie worked at Beth Israel Hospital in Passaic and she also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at the former Faith Gospel Church, Clifton. Marie adored and loved her two children, Dennis and Charles (Chuckie) Pischly. Marie’s grandchildren and great grandchildren were all adored and loved by her and she made them feel special and loved. She loved her family, the Lord, and West Virginia, which held a special place in her heart and she would visit often. She also had a great love of her pets especially “Buddy.”
Marie was predeceased by her parents, Edward Grady and Christeana (Lawrence) Calvert; her late husband, Charles Pischly, Sr.; her late husband, Jerry E. Roberts; her son, Dennis Charles Pischly; and her grandson, Dennis Lance Pischly.
Marie is the last survivor of eleven siblings, Ray Grady, David Foster, Hansel Calvert, Irving Calvert, Clifton Calvert, Eugene Calvert, Ethel (Calvert) Ludvik, Etta Carey, Jessie Howard, and Mearl Wilson.
Survived by her son, Charles E. Pischly of Brick and Lanora ( Lee) Pischly, her daughter-in-law, of Brick; grandson, Lance Pischly and wife, Marie of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter, Danielle (Pischly) Grippe and her husband, Christopher, Point Pleasant; and , granddaughter, Shannon (Pischly) Kirwan and her husband, Scott, Point Pleasant.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Victoria Grippe Bollhardt, Marissia Grippe Bartlow, Brianne Grippe Canavan, and Ashley Pischly; her great-great grandchildren, Xander Lear, Charlie Grippe, and Parker Grippe; and was adored by a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m., Monday, June 21 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 1 p.m., a service will be held at the funeral home and followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
